Looking back to when I was still little, probably from 3-13 years, I always looked forward to the Xmas celebration with great interest, because it was always a “period” or rather a “season” where we, the kids make money, and get lots of junks that would carry us to the new year.
It felt so wonderful counting our earnings at the end of the day, reveling in our earnings that day, if enough it would certainly be the most wonderful time of the year, but if not, we were going to live and fight another day. But as time went by, we out grew everything we understood, about Xmas, it was much more than the food, or the money we made. It was a God like feeling, a season were we love and share in happiness, a season where we were given a wonderful gift that will last us for eternity to eternity, oh how I imagined the father giving us his only begotten son with his name “Jesus” to come save and set us free.
Whose father knowing what would befall his son, would allow his son to come to this earth to redeem us to his grace with his own blood and life. what other gift would be awesome than this? Am yet to see, and am sure we’ll never see a demonstration of love like this. What a way to set an example for us to follow.
Surely it’s the season where our love needs to know no bound, its a season of supernatural love untold. It’s most wonderful time of the year.
